Meet Lisa Bridgett. Mentor, Principal Broker and Founder of Stellar Finance Group.
She is not your typical Mortgage Broker and certainly brings a lot to the table in her capacity as a Mentor. Lisa is a self-confessed nerd! She commenced her professional journey with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science (Hons 1A) and then went on to complete her PhD in Biomechanics. At 25, she became Dr Lisa Bridgett and spent the next 10 years as an academic lecturing in the University Setting and working with elite athletes.
Lisa started Stellar Finance Group when she found herself solo with 2 children under 2 and needed to do something she could own from the hours to the profits! With her strong research and numbers background and her own property portfolio, Mortgage Broking made a lot of sense!
Lisa got her Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking and her Diploma in Finance and a Mortgage Broker she became!
Stellar Finance Group started with just Lisa learning a new trade at lightning speed with little to no formal mentorship. It took grit and a lot of tears but it was worth it. Fast forward 7 years and Stellar Finance Group is thriving with a team of switched on support staff and new brokers coming onboard.
Lisa’s extensive experience in educating university students has equipped her with unparalleled skills in transferring knowledge and helping bring out the best in those she mentors. She is the perfect example of how a new to industry broker can go from no knowledge or expertise to a thriving broker and business owner. It is her passion to help new to industry brokers coming through become just that!
